I have a passport valid for 18+ months
You cannot be hired without a valid passport with plenty of time left.

English is the working language onboard. Guest facing roles need clear spoken English.
I am in good general health
You must pass a seafarer medical. Most common conditions are manageable, be honest.
I can swim and am water confident
Basic water safety is part of STCW training.
I have a clean criminal record
A police clearance is required. Old or minor matters are not always a barrier, ask us.
I can be away from home for 6 to 8 months
Contracts are long. Being ready for time away matters as much as any document.
